Rachel Trezise won the first-ever EDS Dylan Thomas Prize for her collection of short stories, Fresh Apples . She received the £60,000 prize, the largest literary award in the world, at a glittering ceremony in Swansea.
The Rhondda born author is published by Cardigan-based publishers Parthian, who also published her debut novel In and Out of the Goldfish Bowl, an account of a young girl growing up in the south Wales valleys.
