The report’s main focus is on supporting and developing the publishing sector and highlights a commissioning fund for authors, strengthening the infrastructure of publishing houses, investment in marketing and encouraging bookshops to promote the books.
‘The Books Council is confident that the publishing industry will respond positively to this report,’ added Gwerfyl Pierce Jones. ‘By working together we can make sure that Welsh Writing in English is given the prominence that it deserves.’
